Is it safe to take tums every night during pregnancy?

I started taking it at 30 weeks because the heartburn has been getting worse.

Would it be safe to possibly take one every night until the end of my pregnancy?

I have major leg pain, not cramps, and was told to take a tums every day.  So whether it's for heartburn or leg pain, obviously they're safe.

One every night will be fine. It's calcium-- good for you and baby's bones.

There is a daily limit. Try papaya enzymes.

I take them quite a bit, but beware. I know someone who took them every night before bed and ended up with kidney stones a week before she went into labor because of all of he extra calcium.

Tums are fine, they don't work for me 🙄 so I've been living off Zantac lol

Yes! That is a very low amount. It is also very normal to have acid reflux during pregnancy as the baby is pushing up on everything!! I also tried papaya first, and it worked well for bloating but not for the heartburn! You can take zantac or pepcid, but if one tums takes care of it, I would stick with that.

Milk has been my go to cure for heart burn I drink a lil cup when I feel it coming on and it goes away buuut I've been drinking like 2 gallons a week lol if I don't have milk around i chew ice which helps me too..... I'm trying to avoid all medications

You need to talk to your doctor if you're having heartburn every night..
