This seriously frustrates me.
No matter what site, including here, anytime somebody talks about hoping for one gender over the other, the flood gates open and super judgemental and rude comments are made.
I understand that a lot of women struggle with getting pregnant, and maybe never get pregnant at all, and I am genuinely heartbroken for them.
That being said, I don't understand why everyone gets so defensive anytime somebody hopes for a specific gender.
I have two boys, and we want to try for a daughter. Should I feel ashamed of that because some woman have fertility issues? No.
I feel so incredibly blessed that I've never struggled with having children, and don't take that for granted for a single minute. But after two boys, I'm ALLOWED to hope for a girl without being crucified for it. And guess what, if I have another boy, I will fall in love and feel just as grateful for another child, regardless of gender.
Not saying this has happened to me specifically, but I've seen a lot of bashing going on anytime anyone mentions a gender preference and it annoyed the crap out of me.
