Is it too early to give my 6 weeks boy a pacifier bf and I didn't want it ..

But now yesterday boyfriend changed his mind and said give him the pacifier he likes it tho but my aunt tells me it's to early to give it to him cause he is going to want it all the time and it's not good when he have teeth and she also said he gonna get colicky. The pacifier quiets him & he will sleep faster because every hour he wakes up like this morning since 5:30 waking up every hour to eat and I try not to feed him to much bottles cause then he won't be able to digest it right so I make him latch on to my breast ..but if he cries now I give him the pacifier and now he sleeping and if I take it out his mouth he pulls it back and if it comes out his mouth he will cry a little then stop .. I hope is not to early for this . What yah think how many months u gave ur son or daughter a pacifier for the 1st time??
