Marijuana and breastfeeding
Hi ladies. My daughter is 15 months old and we're still nursing, mostly because she has frequent UTIs and when she's on antibiotics for those she has no appetite for anything but my breast milk.
I had postpartum preeclampsia after having her and as a consequence of that I have high blood pressure, liver abnormalities and chronic migraines. The migraines are horrible and no medication works for me anymore. Today I was getting ready to go to the ER after suffering for 2 days straight when my brother offered me to share a joint... I turned him down because I have never smoked and I don't know what affect it may have on my daughter. However I stayed in the same room with him as he smoked and my migraine faded away within 15 minutes... 2 days of disabling pain, and some weed smoke took it all away. I am in awe.
How do you feel about the use of marijuana while breastfeeding? Should I ask my doctor about it? If so, how should I go about asking?
