AM I CLOSE TO LABOR????

Question

So I lost what seems to be my mucus plug today BUT there wasnt any blood... fast forward to right now I'm having like a burning, heavy pressure sensation down there... it is buring and it hurts I've been having period like cramps but not close together... could I be close to going into labor?????

Use the 5-1-1 rule.

Contractions every five minutes lasting one minute for one hour.

Or if your water breaks.

Or if you have bright red bleeding.

It's possible. The mucus plug is the worst indicator since it can regrow and you can lose it repeatedly weeks before labor starts. The cramping sounds more positive, but it could just be BH or practice contractions. I got BH from 8-midnight for weeks before finally going into labor with my last one. Once the contractions are more regular and seem to have a pattern, or you have more than 8 in an hour you're in business!

I had contractions and they started off as light belly cramps not even in a pattern and I went to bed and woke up to pain. Then went back to bed and woke up again with pain and they was 3-5 mins apart and lasting a good 50-60 seconds but i never dialated and wasn't in labor. Just dehydrated.

Cold be a uti.  They can cause cramps/contractions and burning.  If you think it's just contractions then time them! If they are 5 minutes or less apart for an hour then call your doctor.

Cramping stopped but this morning it started again but not as frequent... Maybe it was just false alarm
