Opinion on Dexter

I'm a few days shy of 15 weeks and we've made name mentions to some people. If we have a boy we plan on naming him Dexter. Yes, we are fans of the Showtime series, but that's not the only reason. We think it's a strong name that not only sounds cool but will grow with him. We can say Dex for short which sounds cute. And we also like that it's not used too often or super trendy. We've had mixed reactions, some thought it was cool and unique but others were thrown off. Opinions?
