Advice needed after a Chemical Pregnancy - next step?

So, I had a positive at home pregnancy test on 4/18 and every day after the line got fainted and fainter until it was non-existent. This was my first BFP ever. Very upsetting.

I started my period (I think that's what this is...) one day late on 4/22. I called my doctor who has been zero help. No labs, advice, office visit or anything... but that's another story. (I'm finding a new one) I've self-diagnosed a chemical pregnancy based on what I've read online.

Anyways, where do I go from here? What should I expect? Is it ok to start trying again right away? Do I have a greater or decreased chance of getting pregnant if we try again right away? Any advice is appreciated.

My doctor told me I could try after my first regular cycle. I miscarried at 5 weeks in December then had a period in January and got my bfp in February.  I am currently 14weeks 1 day.

Hello! Currently experiencing my own second chemical in the past 6 months.. also did not receive much help from my dr except being told that it's more common than you think and would never know it's happened unless you test as frequently as we do. Super frustrating. You can start trying again this cycle. So sorry for your loss, I know how awful it feels to get your very first bfp only to have everything crash down days later 😩. On the bright side, you can get pregnant!! Just need a sticky one. My husband wants me to stop testing until af is a week late to help cut down on the heartbreak if it happens again (clearly I did not follow his advice since she was due today, I got a positive yesterday , and here she is!). Baby dust to you!
