c section mamas!!! walking around??

Having our baby born via c section on Thursday I was wondering how soon I were able to walk after the surgery?. I know the first day n second day is supposed to feel pretty raw

I was able to walk around after couple of hours but was in extreme pain. By two days I was close to being ok and not reliant on the pain meds

You "can" walk around shortly after but I just couldn't.  After about a week I could get up in short spurts like to walk to the kitchen. By 2 weeks I was a little better and could kind of take care of my other 2 kids.  By 4 weeks I felt very much back to normal besides being tender to the touch.

It's best to get up and moving within hours, sit up in a chair instead of laying in bed during the day, and take short walks throughout the day. As long as you don't over do it and over exert yourself, walking actually helps you heal faster. Just be sure to get plenty of rest as well. Use a pillow against your incision for support when you get up to help with the initial pain or soreness.

I had my c-section at 11:46pm n was walking around 1:10am to put my baby girl to sleep after she got her hep b shot n was with me for the rest of our time there
