OPK testing

Last month I didn't get a positive opk until CD 17. This month I decided to start testing immediately after my period ended just to make sure that I wouldn't miss anything. I know that there is always LH in your system, but I was surprised to see it show up this dark already. Is there a possibility I could ovulate earlier this time? Or am I just jumping the gun? We had a chemical last month, so I'm super anxious to try again.
