only dads last name on birth certificate?

With my first my husband and i decided to only put his last name on the birth certificate since our baby would have a first and middle name so it just seemed too long. Sometimes i kind of regret it because i dont want my baby to feel bad or something in the future because he wouldnt have my last name. But idk i have thought of changing it but its just too complicated to do it since i think i would have to go through court. At the same time i like it that there is only one last name, idk i just never saw the point of 2 names or 2 last names. I would of preffered one name and 2 last names but my husband insisted on a middle name.
