evap line with wet test

Is it possible to get an evap line if your test is still completely wet? Thought I had a vvvfl this morning but ignored it and figured I'd just test again in 2 days. Come home from work to a positive, which I assumed was an evap line. Did some research and read a bunch of threads that an evap line is colorless or grey, and only if a test is almost all the way dried. Except my test isn't even close to being almost all the way dried.
