Normal or not?

I woke up at 5:30 in the morning to change my pad, as I had leaked through. And then for school I woke up around 6:10 so it hadn't been that long,40 minuets. But after ten minuets of walking around my newly changed 10 hour pad was more than half way filled?! I've always had a heavy flow but this is crazy. Too much blood?

When you sleep it can stay inside more but once you stand up gravity sort of clears it all out. So its quite a heavy period but its not unusual or anything to worry about.

I bleed through super plus tampons sometimes within a half an hour. 
You may benefit from going on birth control. It has significantly lightened my period.
