Guys, I need some opinions. I've been struggling with what to do for a few weeks. I tested positive for h. Pylori an bacteria on stomach lining. I am in 100% in NO pain and have none of the symptoms. But my OB still wanted to put me on clarithromycin, Prilosec, and amoxicillin... and I told her I was not comfortable with that as I was 10 weeks (now 13 weeks) as two of those medications are cat C and are said to NOT be used unless he frisk outweights it. The pharmacist even told me it's not safe. H. Pylori DOES NOT cause any harm to the fetus so the baby is completely safe leaving it untreated. But my Ob wants me to take it because it COULD lead to me having a stomach ulcer. But I don't see why I cannot wait until I give birth to treat it as it cannot pass to the baby and cannot harm the baby. Why would I risk the growth and health of my baby with these medications if I don't have to right now. I'm mostly looking for your guys advise on this I'm so stressed out!!
