Distant Husband - HELP!!!!
My father in law passed away a few weeks ago after a long battle with cancer. My husband isn't taking it so well, which is understandable. I'm trying to give him time and space but let him know I'm here if he needs me. However, we have barely spoke in over a week and if we do it is out of necessity such as questions about the kids. He has started sleeping on the couch most the time and I don't hear from him at all during the day. He's short with the kids and all around impatient with all of us. I'm scared to bother him because I know he is grieving and don't want to come off as clingy or selfish. I know he is hurting but this is just awful. Do I just stay patient and quite and let him do whatever he needs to do right now to cope in hopes it gets better eventually? Or at some point bring it to his attention, that even though he is going through a rough time, he's pushing everyone away (even though I'm sure it's not deliberate) and all we want is to be there for him and let him know we care?
