2 Baby Showers?! What??

My mother in law suggested I have two baby showers because I have about 50 people I want to invite. I honestly don't think that's a lot but she insisted I have 2 separate showers I guess one for family and one for friends but I don't think I want to. Ideas????

I'm having 2 baby showers only because my moms side of the family and dads side of the family don't nessisarly want to spend time in the same room.. but it was my choice to have 2 so no one felt uncomfortable .. but 50 people is not too many because not all of the will show up! In your case I would do 1 baby shower! But it's your day you choose! Good luck !!

If you're comfortable with that, then go ahead! I feel like that might be costly, if you're having to host and feed 2 crowds. I'm having one baby shower, with family and friends, about 100 people invited

My mom really wants to plan one for my family, and my best friend really wants to plan one for my friends. I barely even want the hassle of one shower lol so I'm struggling with the thought of two. But if they really want to I'm going to do it (and of course appreciate the heck out of both)

With my first child I did that.  One with my work family and one With family and friends.  2 different people put them on for me.  Worked out wonderfully.

I'm have 2 or maybe 3 but mine is based solely on location issues rather than numbers. I like having more than 1 because it will be easier to interact with your guests, you won't have to answering as many questions and such, as well as it could be shorter than if you had a large group of guests. You never know how you and baby will feel that day so keeping short and sweet might be nice.

I invited about 50 people, only 25-30 will be attending. The guest list isn't a for sure on the size of the party itself. For the cost of throwing a shower, I wouldn't want to have two seperate ones, especially with people that won't be able to make it.

Old fashioned to have several. Used to have one at work, one with family, one with friends. We are having one with everyone and we invited about 115 people. Obviously, not everyone will be there. It's up to you how you want to do it but I chose to have just one day to do it all

I would have two if I could. My family holds hostility towards my boyfriend's mother and grandmother due to some comments they've made about me. I fear my shower is going to be super awkward, but I wouldn't want to have a shower with my boyfriend's family without my mom there to keep me sane so 😂😂
