Okay, so let me start by saying, I love my husband. He's a great father to our baby girl. I've always loved his humor that's a little bit twisted, mine is too. We're both very 'off the cuff' type people. We're not very political but I kind of keep up to date on current events in the US. So, we just started watching The Handmaid's Tale on Hulu (it's amazing, and very much hits close to home these days) and tonight we watched an episode that briefly touched on female genital mutilation. He says, 'off the cuff', "oh, just like circumcision!" If looks could kill....😤 I said, hell no it's not. He says, yes it is, it's exactly the same (he's circumcised and not against it btw). I wanted to scream at him for this. I'm not the type to go to rallies or protests or what have you, but I'm definitely a strong woman who takes no shit from a man, who will teach my daughter to be strong and stand on her own. But this comment infuriated me! Instantly my mind goes to, well no wonder he doesn't help me around the house, no wonder he's so disrespectfully messy, I can't raise my daughter with a father who lacks so much respect for women. I am so mad about this! Tell me I'm being irrational 😂 I'm seriously SO turned off by him right now
