What's the deal with crazy spellings?

I work with kids and have several with "unique" names that no one can spell. Why do people insist on doing that to their children?

Think about your child's experience with a name abs the fact that they have to live with it before making it "unique".

I know a woman who named her daughter "Baby Girl" not a unique spelling but "unique" in general.
Poor kid, I would hate to be going to a job interview and introducing myself as "baby"

I don't understand all the weirdness around names nowadays. In the spelling and just the names in general -_-

There's a trend around here where people name their kids "nevaeh" or "heaven backwards" .. my thought is always "wouldn't that be hell?" lol

I sometimes wonder if these ladies realize they will need to teach a three year old how to say it/ spell it/ read it.

I wouldn't say my sister and my name is that unique but they are spelt differently and we managed fine throughout the years.

Lol. I always decide my kids names if it's easy to get after them if they are doing something wrong. Ie. Bailey Nicole or Landon James.

I look at a lot of names and think this poor child has to go to school and go through life with this name, people really need to think about what they are naming there child and what it means in other countries x
