conceiving after contraception long term

Basically I have been on various methods of contraception since I was 14 and have not had a break in between and I'm now 20.. I have been on implant, pill(various combined and mini) and depo throughout the years. Last may I decided to stop taking depo due to myself and my partner making the decision to begin trying to concieve, along with the fact my moods and cycle was non existent. We ttc for around 7 months to which I went to the doctors and they prescribed me the progestion pill to "kick start" my cycle.. I took this for just over a month however I felt awful whilst taking it and side effects were making me feel down.. I stopped taking the pill after that.. it has been a year in may since I officially came off all contraception and began ttc (including the time I have been on the pill due to my cycle)..
the question is when would it be appropriate for me to visit the doctor to seek advice on ttc as it's been a while(sure feels like it anyway!) also how long has it taken for other people to concieve since being on contraception such as implant, depo and pill?
Thank you
UPDATE
My partner has done a home male fertility tests and his has came back okay, I have done some ovulation tests to which I have only had two positives in a year(may be misjudging my cycle) I also had a okay and regular cycle prior to beginning any contraception. It's been gutting seeing a negative every time I test so think I may go and see the doctor just to see what they think.
