long periods

I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced longer than normal periods (1.5 months tops) ever before, especially in your 20s??? My husband swears it's something to do with him but my mom used to have ovarian cancer around the time that she was pregnant with me but I have been trying to conceive for a few months now...I am kinda worried though. Any suggestions ??
