Giving baby a real bath?

My baby is a week old today and so far we've only done sponge baths. When did you give your baby a real bath?

We did not give a bath of any kind until baby was a month old 😂 Just spot cleaned as needed.

Day after she was born. In the uk we aren't advised to wait until the cord is off. As long as you pat dry the stump it's fine 😊

After the umbilical cord has come off and the belly button has completely healed

Two days after leaving the hospital. They gave her a real bath at the hospital, and wasn't told I had to wait. It's just whenever.

4 kids in and I've never been told to wait to bath and 3 out of 4 were bathed at the hospital. All that was told was to spot dry the belly button/cord and clean around it with a q-tip.
