Something so weird

My boyfriend and i had sex once and realized that afterwards his penis was peeling and burning and my vag was really itchy and had a lot of discharge. Both of our privates had a funny odor as well. He got an antifungal to treat it and it was gone in a week and few days. Mine went away after a few days on its own. This happened a few weeks ago. However, last friday we had sex again and today hes noticed that his penis smells sort of odd and feels like the peeling started (very very little). My vag was itchy for one day and stopped but i too have a weird odor. What could this be? i want to go to the clinic soon but i would just like to know if any of u guys experienced this before? no one seems to know
