Post Period Spotting

My period ended 9 days ago. I began lightly spotting 7 days ago and it stopped for two days and began spotting again. Just had my yearly checkup with my gynecologist who did an STD testing and said everything else looked good. I got my test results today, and they're negative. This is the first time I had a 7 day period since May of last year. I understand it could be leftover that didn't come out but not sure what else it could be since it doesn't seem to stop. Took pregnancy test and was negative on that as well. Experiencing cramps and bloating.
