I work in CA and am entitled to 6 weeks disability pay and 6 weeks paid family leave. The thing is, I will probably not return to work unless they can accommodate me part time. But, I am not planning on telling them I am not returning until after my leave runs out, to ensure I get all my benefits. The paid leave is funded through paycheck deductions, not directly by my employer. Do you think it is completely wrong and unprofessional to do this? I'm not 100% sure I won't return, but about 99%.
