No heartbeat on Doppler. Anyone else?

Hi all, I am 10 weeks 2 days and had my first appointment with my nurse practitioner. She offered to do a Doppler scan to detect the heartbeat and of course I agreed. She wasn't able to pick anything up. Anyone else experience this during early pregnancy? This was my first time with the Doppler. Had an 8 week US and HB was 159. Thank you

My son did that to me at one of his first appointments. It turned out, he just didn't like the Doppler and was bouncing all over the place to get away from it. Lol!

It's normal for Dr's to have trouble finding it before 12 weeks via doppler. They're so tiny and if they move to a funny position they can have a hard time finding it.

I had been finding mine at home since 9w4d. When I went to my OB appt I was 12w1d and we couldn't find it there. I found it at home that same night. She gave me the option of not even trying at my appt as it's still hit or miss at that stage.

At 10 weeks we tried for 15 minutes with no luck to find baby with the Doppler. Then we did an ultrasound to to make sure baby was okay. My midwife also couldn't find the heartbeat, so we did a transvaginal ultrasound and baby was just hiding so low in my pelvis that any outside machine couldn't pick up the heartbeat. I am 20 weeks now with a healthy baby.

It's probably nothing to worry about. It's still a little early to find the heartbeat with a Doppler.
