milk production help?!

My milk supply seems to be dropping after only a week. How can I get it up again? I can hardly keep up with baby girls eating habits.

It's a demand and supply system, so as long as you're continuing to feed her whenever she asks, your supply should go up. If you continue to have problems, I would highly recommend seeking help from an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) because every case is different and she can give you advice specifically for your needs. I'm so thankful for mine bc we had latching problems and nipple damage that have both been fixed!

It's normal to lose some of the heavy feeling and super leaks when your supply regulates. If that's what's concerning you, don't worry. The way to know if your baby is getting enough is by the number of wet diapers and your baby gaining weight. Your baby should be producing 6 wet diapers a day after the first week and should regain their birth weight within 2 weeks (some even say 3 weeks).
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and feed on demand. If you pump, run the pump for a few minutes after the flow stops to signal to your body that you need more.
