Going to work after 6weeks

Me and my husband recently moved into his parents house. I recently had my baby and not even a week after, he started working. On May 12th is gonna be my 6 week postpartum check up and the 15th I can start a new job. Financially we need this, but my husband thinks I should stay home and take care of my daughters, even though his mother already said she could do it. I really wanna move into an apartment but I don't want to displease my husband. I'm not sure what to do.
