when can I give my daughter an ice cube?

Teething 5 month old, I want to give her an ice cube to suck on, I'll hold it.... but i heard they can't have water till 6 months

You can always wet a washcloth, put it in a ziplock bag and stick it in the freezer.

We do breast milk popsicles and she loves them! Nuby makes a popsicle maker set we got on Amazon that work fantastically well. They come out perfect. Takes about 1/3 oz of milk per pop. They have nice handles so she can hold it on her own and feed herself.

They can have cooled boiled water so if you boil the water and then freeze it it will be ok. I'd be more concerned about freeze/ice burns. I have heard of someone freezing a teether and it got stuck to her baby's mouth! Maybe let it melt a bit before you give it to them.

We've been using a mesh thing (it's actually like a silicon pacifier with holes) and putting frozen breastmilk in it. So if you're breastfeeding that's a non-water option...

Boon makes these silicone holders that have a handle on it like a popsicle. I have been putting frozen bananas in it for my son and he LOVES it! He screams when it melts!  It has holes in it so he can eat it as well.

We put ice cubes in these mesh things for her to hold, I'm scared she'll choke on a whole one so that's what we do. Loves it!
