medications while breastfeeding

So does anyone else have ADHD.'? Mine isn't that bad, I'm just hyper impulsive and borderline emotional unstable which triggers the impulsive actions. Since I was about 6w I've been off the medicine. That's when I found out I was pregnant but didn't confirm until 8w. I've been dying to take my medication because of all these hard life changes, but I know I can't and my baby boy is giving me the strength. I want to start back after he is born which my doctor says is fine, BUT unsure if I can breast feed while taking the medication. I don't want to hurt or give him anything bad through my milk. And I have yet to find any documents on people breast feeding while taking ADHD medication. I guess no one wants to experiment. lol I don't blame them.
