Long cycles, no help from doctor, frustrated!

Stopped taking the pill last October, since then I have had 2 periods in 6 months. I went to see my doctor after about 3 months and he was useless. Just said well most likely I'm pregnant and to go and buy a test - as if u hadn't already thought of that! Anyway now I'm not sure where to turn to get help or even if I'm just being impatient and there are others in the same boat? Makes it quite hard TTC as I have no clue when or if I'm ovulating! 😞
