rejection rates?!

I really really want to get my belly button pierced but I've heard that they have a really high rejection rate. How high really is the rejection rate and is it worth the risk of getting it and then having the chance of rejection and having a scar for life? Any suggestions would be great!

I've had mine for nearly 10 years! It does take awhile to heal (up to a year) but as long as you take care of it and don't play with it too much it will be fine!

It really depends on your body! I have had mine 5 years and it's perfect but my friend had hers and it rejected out of her body shortly after getting it, everyone is different and you don't really know til you try it!

I got mine done 2 years ago. I cleaned it with salt water I stopped after maybe about 2 or 3 months and it's been ok ever since

they are very anatomy dependent. some people aren't suited for them, but an inexperienced piercing may ignore that. another part of it is that the healing time is 6-12 months, a lot of people are impatient and change their jewlery early which can cause a lot of problems. just make sure you go to someone that tells you exactly what brand and material you're being pierced with and makes you feel comfortable.

My boyfriends mom has had one for 15 or so years... it really depends on the person. I may be wrong but rejection rate is about 33%? Anyways, if it's good titanium or nobium jewelry, and you clean it properly it shouldn't reject but sometimes it still does... I'd go for it
