Planning on smoking weed for the first time...?

Few questions I have... I plan on smoking alone for my first time, haha don't really want people i know knowing I smoke. But what is the best strain I should get for my first time? I don't want to get paranoid. I'm thinking sativa dominant hybrid so i'm not "couch locked" as I read from indica effects.

My boyfriend has smoked weed practically on a daily basis for nearly 15 years and he has absolutely no negative health effect from it. I know this doesn't answer your question. It's basically in response to the other commenter and anyone else who will say how terrible it is for you. Don't know much about strains and whatnot, but anything I've tried smoking has never made me paranoid or "couch locked". Just take it easy at first to find out your limit.

You probably won't get high since it's the first time unless you do it right. First off, while it's going down your throat it will feel warm, almost ashy. Secondly, you will cough, a lot. But this happens because you're not used to it, over time you don't cough anymore and it happen with like the 3rd or 4th use. And don't worry, eventually you will stop coughing lol. You should probably take water with you. Thirdly, take deep inhales of it and then hold it in for a while, it helps create a high faster so yo don't have to take as many hits. And lastly, do it around people your comfortable with, not people you kinda know because you never know what could happen.

I would recommend a stativa indica hybrid. It's not to harsh but not to 'couh binding'. And definitely don't so it alone
