Anyone ever had this happen when testing??

I took the early response test 8 dpo and got a faint positive, took one the next day and same result, took one this morning and it was negative😩 Has anyone heard of anything like this? I know they all have been early but they did pick up faint lines already. We have been trying a year and a half and I was so excited, but today I am worried I got my hopes up.
