Do you blindly follow your SO

Question

So I got into a discussion with a married friend of mine. Her theory is that as women am we should make our man feel like a man by following his plan and not question it.

I believe that question my so's ideas and large decisions is a must, as he respects my opinion.

What do you do?

Is there an option that we have agreed to make joint decisions? We talk regularly about where we are financially, what we want, and how we plan to proceed. We check in constantly even when it comes to the kids and making plans for the weekend. We're a team, always!

It depends on the subject at hand but 99% of the time we discuss and question each other. He wouldn't want to be with a doormat that just goes along with everything even when he's wrong. I think that any man that feels like less of one bc his woman has a voice and speaks her mind isn't much of a man to begin with.

99% of the time I'm right! Haha my DH doesn't always listen to me but I guarantee after wards hell say he should've listened to me or I had a good idea he's just too stubborn to not do things his way sometimes.😂😂😂 with that being said if I don't agree I'll tell him an alternative if I can't get through I'll follow him and watch him fall..then pick him up and pat his back and say baby u should listen to me more often! 😄😄😂😂😂 Lol

Lol I can't imagine not having discussions. How do you make agreements on raising your kids? Discipline? Money? I got really sick when my son was about so. Months old and my house was complete chaos! Our bank accounts were totally wrecked and we're still trying to fix it a year later. I will probably never give up control of the cleaning in the house or stop looking at the bank accounts everyday to make sure he's not doing anything stupid (like spending money on video games!)

Most men would not enjoy being with a woman with no mind of her own. They don't want to be married to a puppet that just follows their commands. I would think they'd want someone to bounce ideas off of and discuss things with. Two minds are better than one. This may lead to more disagreements but the occasional disagreement certainly is better than living your entire life as someone else's puppet

As a couple you should work through things together and both should have an opinion. You're a couple for a reason. No ifs, ands, or buts.

I trust him and his judgement enough that I very rarely feel the need to question his decisions.
He respects and values me and my input enough that he always discusses his choices and desicions and asks me about them before he makes them.

As a Christian, my future husband will be the head of our household and I'm expecting to follow him. If I want to all questions I will, but he's supposed to be my leader and my rock.

He naturally talks with me about small/big decisions. But as his wife I let him make the final choice with big decisions. I trust and respect him. He respects me by asking my opinion. He has not steered us wrong yet!
