Breastfeeding AND formula feeding?

Does anyone else breast feed, but also occasionally feed your baby a couple ounces of formula? breastfeeding is so draining on my body and makes me incredibly grumpy and when I pump literally nothing comes out, so having my husband give a bottle helps so much.

I did with my son, he would get 1 formula bottle a day so I could rest and he was breastfed the rest of the time

Every time a bottle is given you should pump to maintain supply or your supply will decrease.

I did with a few of my kids. There was no harm done to them. And one is below average in her height and weight doc has no concerns. My other is average with her height and weight, also no concerns.

I did with my first child. Honestly, the first time he got formula I cried and was upset with my husband. My husband let me sleep because of how exhausted I was and I didn't have enough breastmilk in the fridge. After I got over the initial shock, and my husband hugged me reassuring me it was okay, there were times he had formula on occasion when I needed a break.

Do the best you can. Don't let others discourage you.
