Do you think 19 is too young to get fertility checked? Please read description

I have a hormonal problem, and no I'm not trying to get pregnant, I'm 19, I'm a bit young. However every time I try to explain to an obgyn , they say I'm still young for a testing of my fertility. My point is it's better to know younger so when the time comes when you wanna have a family, you aren't surprised with the news that you need treatment. Right?

Insurance isn't going to cover that kind of testing until medically necessary eg you've been trying for a year or longer to get pregnant with no success.

Does your hormonal imbalance effect fertility? And personally, I'd just wait until you would the right person, if it gets to where you're getting married and want to have a family, then I'd look into it.

Usually they start testing when a couple has been actively trying for a year. They tell you it can take a healthy couple up to a year to conceive if you bring it up before. At least that is what happened to me twice.

No. I'm 20 and doing the testing now.. I've actually been trying but even if we stopped I would still do it because yeah I would rather know now than later. If I can deal with it now or at least be prepared then I won't be wasting so much time down the road.
