do you worry about your savings? or do you go paycheck to paycheck

I've learned that having at least a $1000 cushion of emergency money is super important but recently been dipping into it, & now I'm worried. Do you live paycheck to paycheck or do you have to have money saved ?

I constantly worry about my savings and credit score. I want to have as big of a savings as possible.

since i'm still working my husband puts $400 a month in the savings but after i go on maternity leave we'll probably only be able to do $100-$200 a month if that. but we have more than $1000 in our savings account

I try to also save $1,000 but been needing more to pay bills. I have emergency credit cards in case something really bad happens but I try not to use them for everyday
