first period after baby

So I'm having my first period after baby, lo just turned 6 months on the 5th. I'm bleeding very heavily, for 2 days now. I have to change a super tampon every 2 hours (I've NEVER have had to use super before) and a regular every hour or less. I don't remember bleeding like this when my cycle came back after my first. I have family history of uterine cancer (mom had a hysterectomy at 28 due to it). So i am a little on the nervous side. Anyone else have very heavy bleeding? I'm also, first time for this too, actually having bad cramps and weird aches in what I think is where my ovaries are.
