Time to give up??

Question

My husband and I have been TTC for 4 years now. My insurance doesn't cover any fertility testing or treatment and I can't afford to go through it on my own. Can you just ask your regular doctor for clomid?

Has anyone just gotten to the point where it hurts to much to keep trying? My husband says he feels bad every time I cry so I cry alone.

You can't just be prescribed clomid . First they have to find out the underlying problem . If you don't ovulate correctly they put you on clomid . If you don't get your periods,  birth control will do the trick . Being on clomid doesn't necessarily mean you are going to get pregnant . I took clomid for 3 cycles and didn't get pregnant . Took birth control for 3 months to regulate my periods.

If there's a will , there's a way. Start saving money . If this is something you really want you will go for it . I was ttc for 6 years . Saved up money in 5 months and paid for Ivf all out of pocket . 
You can do this . Don't give up . Find a solution that works for you . Talk to your obgyn and tell them you have been trying to conceive for 4 years. It has to be on record for 6months to a year.
