bleeding at 8 weeks when to go to the hospital??

I'm 8 weeks and have slight cramping and bright red bleeding only little bits when I wipe.. I had brown bleeding 3 days ago and saw baby and heartbeat yesterday! What is considered enough to go to the hospital? I don't want waste anyone's time. Please help! Tia xx

I would call your dr or midwife. Bright red bleeding should normally be checked. Maybe your doc can see you instead of going to the hospital. It is never wasting anyones time!

Call the doctor or call ER. I've had it twice in my pregnancy the first time they told me to come in right away. The second time it was the day after thanksgiving so they told me to go to the ER.

All doctors are different, but I go through Nebraska Medicine and they'll only see you in the ER of you're soaking 2 super pads and hour for 2 hours, or 1 super pad and hour for 4 hours. I had spotting at 10w2d, and they saw me in the ER and told me they wouldn't check me as there was nothing they could do.  I had to wait to see my OB, so I'd call them instead.
