facts about racism

My final exam in public speaking class consists of two essays playing devils advocate on the same topic. I was assigned the question of racism in today's society. so basically i have to write one essay where i'm saying that racism IS still prevalent and one where i'm saying that racism ISNT still prevalent. I feel like I got the hardest out of all of the topics because I could go on and on about how racism IS prevalent, but what am I expected to write about how it isn't? I feel like this shouldn't have even been one of the topics. What do you guys think?
