Your first Period

So during the summer I went to the washroom and when I pulled my underwear down and saw what was there I knew what happened. I literally started crying! I cried until my grandma came running in asking what was wrong and I showed her. She got one of my moms huge pads to put on my under wear. When we got out of the bathroom my little sister kept asking me what was wrong and I said "nothing, don't worry about it." My grandma then called my mom who was at work and told her what happened. My mom got off work early to come and help me. On her way home she stopped at a store to grab me smaller pads. All l could do was cry. I didn't know why but that was all I could do when my mom got home she showed me what she got me and told me all about having your period. Now I am glad that I had my first period during the summer than during school but the #1 thing I hate the most is the cramps. What did you do when you had your first period? And how old were you? I was twelve.
