The little hand mitts... are they just socks put on the hands?

Or actual newborn gloves? And how long do they wear them for?

Socks work too. My son didn't wear them, he didn't scratch himself much and was swaddled to sleep.

You can actually get little mittens but they never stay on lol I've always used socks they stay on better.

Definitely a necessity .  My.l.os scratched the hell out of their faces .  They aren't socks ,  they are actual little gloves . You should be able to find them anywhere.  They are super cheap !

They're little mittens. I got some, as my mum said I used to scratch my face a lot as a newborn, so I bought some just in case.

My oldest I didn't use them with my youngest I used till 3 or 4 months.  I became picky about which ones though. Here's what I learned the ones that have elastic work really well and are harder for baby to get off.  The ones that don't and just have tight stitching are crap and easily come off. I also learned walmart only carries the crappy ones

They're gloves my son's hands were to big at birth for him to wear 😂😒. I used them with my oldest (girl) and I'll be using them with my third (girl).

They're little gloves for the hands. It's to help keep them from scratching their face. I let my son wear them till he actually started using his hands and I was able to cut his nails a little easier.
