Baby spits up breast milk, not formula. Why?

I pump and bottle feed & formula feed Neosure to make up for what I can't supply. Whenever I give my milk she spits up, sometimes quite a bit. When fed formula she's fine. The first ingredient in her formula is nonfat milk so I don't think it's a dairy thing. Is there something else I could be eating that's causing this or any ideas what else her issue could be?? TIA!

Could be acid reflux from something you're eating that's in your breastmilk. As long as it's not projectile and baby doesn't seem to be bothered by it I wouldn't worry. (:

Breastmilk is more liquidy. It could be that it's coming out of the nipple faster than the formula does and she's just getting it a bit too fast to keep it down :) that's my guess!

It could be something you're eating. Some food cause babies to be gassy and can cause spitting up. Also our doctor recommended we pace feed with bottles to prevent spit up!

Some foods are more acidic or cause gas.  I was also supplementing and giving both, my Dr recommend to mix the two and do 1/2 and 1/2.. it makes your baby less gassy without you changing your diet, ensures they're getting more consistent nutrition per feeding and makes the transition easier.
