Is it normal to have bumps on your areolas?

It's has a bumpy-like feeling and scrunch up. I'm having pre-period symptoms can this be why? 
(This is not the real question, just giving further details that could be helpful >>> My nipples get hard and scrunch up)

They are Montgomery glands. They produce oil too keep your nipples from drying out and cracking. It's normal to have none all the way up to 10 each.

those are called montgomery glands!! they help with some stuff like baby appeitites. they may look like pimples at certain points but i stress you not pop them

Pre period symptoms may include your breasts and nipples to be more sensitive. But (actually I'm surprised you didn't realise) it's completely normal to have these. I was told they were milk ducts by my Dr (when I had an extra large bump on the centre of the nipple)...Which has died down since...I've never been pregnant
