My doctor specifically told me to use deet. She said there isn't evidence that deet causes harm, but there is evidence that the Zika virus is terrible. Even though I don't live where it has been she said you never know if it will travel up here and better safe than sorry!

I can't use DEET, as I'm allergic to it.

However, in India, we have a repellant called 'odomoss'; and the naturals version is based on citronella and aloe, which works well; you just have to be sure to cover all exposed areas of skin.

Also, the 'A/C' trick totally does not work. So we have a mosquito net over our bed now, which helps.
