Who comes first in your relationship you or your mother in law?.. just asking I would hate for my relationship to end because of this issue

In what regards? Like we both need a kidney and he's a match for both? Or we both need a ride and he can only take one? Or we disagree on something? I guess I don't understand why it's a competition. My husband doesn't have to always pick me or always pick her. Things are situational and he has a mind of his own also we are capable of communicating through our differences.
