Would you ever have your child get a cosmetic surgery?

Obviously not a boob job or anything but like correcting a lazy eye or getting a non healthy risking tumour removed? I had my first (i've had multiple) lazy eye correction surgery at 3 months old. I think my parents made the right choice but i was thinking about it and if i had s child with the same condition i probably wouldn't charge it.

Many cosmetic surgeries greatly improve a child's morale. I don't see a problem, as long as it's not forced on the child.

I broke my nose severely in the 3rd grade, and it deviated my septum. My parents took me to a pediatric plastic surgeon, who noted the severity of my case, but didn't want to operate until I was finished growing due to where my break was in my nasal bone. I had chronic sinus infections as a child, needed multiple rounds of steroids to reduce inflammation to allow me to breathe, and I was miserable and sick. I had a septoplasty and had my nose straightened at 18, and haven't had chronic problems since. Even though most view that type of surgery as elective cosmetic, it change my quality of life drastically. Having walked a mile in those shoes, I would do the same for my kids in a heartbeat!

In general, no, but if it's something that could genuinely change their quality of life, then I would think about it.

My son has had 2 corrective eye surgeries in the past 9 or so months. He was diagnosed at 6 months old with congenital eye dystrophy. Upon examination, his vision was said to be perfect with no issues, just the fact that his eyes would often times turn in. For example, his brain would shut off the eye that turned in to better see with the eye that was straight. My sons brain basically taught himself to only see out of one eye at a time to have proper hand eye coordination.

Prior to scheduling his surgery at 12 months old, we tried aligning his eyes through alternating eye patches to help reteach his brain. It worked slightly but not enough to be a success. So he had a double eye strombismus surgery at 12 months old.

We hoped he would show signs of getting better, but we noticed he would continuously run into things and constantly hit his head on the door or miss an object he was reaching for. This past January we discovered he was dealing with double vision. So another surgery was scheduled for this past March. This time, an outer muscle on his left eye was tightened and so far his healing and vision has improved. He's beginning to bump into things again, and a final check up is scheduled for next week to determine if one more operation would be necessary.

This sort of surgery can be seen as cosmetic as a baby can learn to live with it, but my husband and I decided why even put him through possibly having this surgery done at an older age.

Cleft pallets yes, facial deformities yes,  if it's something that's going to improve the quality of my child's life or make them feel better about themselves 100% as long as it's within reason. For like a year I thought I was gonna have one boob smaller than the other, luckily they evened out, but my mom was totally fine with me getting my boobs done. She knew what it was like to have dramatically uneven boobs so she thought it'd be fine for me to get one. As long as they ask me for it I'll support them

If they were young enough where I had to make the decision and not include them, it would depend. If it was something that I knew they would most likely hate later on in life and possibly be picked on a lot, then yes. 
Other than that I would wait until they were old enough to decide if they wanted to change anything on their body.
