If you knew your child murdered their sibling, would you turn them in?

My husband and I had a conversation with his parents about the Jon Bonet Ramsey murder. They believe the mom lied and covered for the son. They said if those were their two kids (they only have two children also) they would of done the same thing. They said they wouldn't want to lose both children. We disagreed with his parents. We believe murdering people (for anything other than self-defense) is morally wrong. We would rather be without two kids, than keep a psychopath murderer around. If our child murdered our other child, they would automatically be dead to us anyway. What would you do? Turn the child in or lie to authorities?
