I just need to vent

So my husband let me get away for the weekend. I went to the coast, which is only a few hours away. It was so relaxing sitting on the beach, and listening to the waves. The. I come home to a filthy home with dishes piled up, trash all over the counters in the kitchen, my 2 year old had drawn all over his dresser and his face, there were random clothes strewn all over the living room. This first thing I did was go into cleaning mode, which gets me very frustrated and fiesty. I was super irritated to come home to that. Should I have expected more?  I'm trying not to be too angry, since my husband had the kids by himself, and he let me go away. But come on!  At least throw the trash away. The trash can is 2 feet away!!
