Mesh Crib Bumper?

I know that padded bumpers are a big no no, but what about mesh ones? Any experiences with them? Are they still considered unsafe, even if you can see/breathe through them?

They're much safer but not considered as safe as just not having them. I used one for my first two boys. My 3rd daughter I didn't (simply because I never got around to washing it lol) and to be honest she's 9 months now and has only gotten her foot stuck once for a few seconds, so not having it hasn't been a problem. Having it wasn't a problem, either. I think it's a matter of preference. But definitely don't get the padded ones.

They are safer, but they are still a strangulation hazard. If baby somehow gets their neck under/over/in it, they can be strangled. Once baby learns to stand up, they can try to use one to boost themselves out of the crib, too.

I have mesh cot bed bumpers. They are from a U.K. Company so that's not much help. They are designed to be safe and completely breathable.
